Gordian Knot, initially conceived as a bitrate calculator for DivX, has been converted into a global application that integrates all utilities needed to rip DVDs and codify them in DivX or Xvid.

With Gordian Knot you can do, step by step, everything needed to convert a DVD disc to an AVI file. Also it is multilingual, so you`ll have no problems following the program`s indications:

1. Rip the DVD.

2. Create a DVD2AVI project.

3. Calculate and apply the right bitrate.

4. Select the resolution.

5. Subtitle the resulting file if necessary.
